Integrated Pump Rental recently shored up its pump rental fleet with the inclusion of a range of stainless steel submersible pumps. This, according to the company’s Managing Director Lee Vine, is  to cater for applications that involve increased acidity levels in the water.

The gradual increase in acid water drainage in mines has resulted in harsh dewatering applications. This, in turn, has necessitated the need for appropriate pumping solutions to deal with the same. Hence, Vine says, the addition of Faggiolati stainless steel slurry pumps to their rental fleet.

The Faggiolati pump is engineered to operate in extremely harsh environments including handling highly corrosive water and sludge. They are also not only built to withstand acidic water even with high metal and sulphates concentration, but can also deal with slurries containing abrasive particles and a high content of solids.
